For millions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), life is a balancing act between two worlds: the country where they earn a living and the home where their hearts remain. To honor their sacrifices and unwavering love, global money transfer app Sendwave has launched its new “Between Here And Home” campaign, featuring Philippine music icon Gary Valenciano.
Anchored by Hope and Tradition
At the heart of the campaign is Gary V’s beloved anthem, “Babalik Ka Rin.” The initiative kicks off with an emotional digital film highlighting a Filipina nurse working abroad to put her son through school, while her mother cares for the child back home. The story captures the quiet strength, intergenerational teamwork, and deep affection that sustain separated families.

“Gary Valenciano’s music transcends both time and distance,” says Leo Albea, Philippines Market Head of Sendwave. “For generations, his songs have brought families together. ‘Babalik Ka Rin’ was the perfect anchor because at the center of the OFW experience is the hope of eventually coming home.”
More Than Just Remittances
Sendwave views every transaction as a lifeline—funding education, healthcare, and daily living needs. Founded in 2014 and entering the Philippine market in 2021, the secure app allows users across North America and Europe to transfer money home seamlessly.
To mark the campaign launch, eligible new Sendwave users can get a $20 credit on their first transaction.
