Actor and commercial model VJ Mendoza stars in Frontline Productions, Inc.’s digital series Inn Love The Series. VJ started performing in theater 7 years ago, but it was when he started doing television commercials that gave him a jumpstart in his career. With over 70 commercials in the last five years, VJ currently has contracts with Union Bank and Magic Flakes.

Inn Love The Series gives VJ his first lead role ever. He plays the curious writer Gino who will have a hate-love relationship with his Inn neighbor Alex, played by Migo de Vera.

“Ako kasi, tanggap ko na, eh. Nata-typecast talaga kami – ‘Ikaw, pang best friend ka.’ So sabi ko, as long as I can do my art, nakaka-arte ako, walang problema. Tanggap ako nang tanggap, but this one actually made me realize na ang dami ko pa palang pwedeng gawin, nililimitahan ko lang sarili ko. Kasi parang tinanggap ko ‘yung limitations ng industriya.”

We’ve seen VJ Mendoza in various commercials, TV shows and movies. But he always play a supporting role on TV and on the big screen. But the pandemic changed the game. The digital platform gave names to newbies, gave opportunities for supporting actors to take the spotlight and prove they can offer more. And this show gave VJ a bigger perspective on his career.

As for series director Rodel Mercado, “Inn Love The Series is a peek into an inclusive world where they will be able to experience an authentic concept of love which will surely resonate to the core of their being is very exciting in itself. As we opt for a new normal, a fundamental understanding of balance nurtured by variety is essential rather than wanting for sameness or one right old way of living.”

Inn Love The Series streams 8:00pm, every Saturday night, at FLP YOUTUBE Channel and at MULAT Streaming Digital Media. It stars Niel Lariosa (Derrick, who is secretly attracted to Gino), Rey Correjado (Louise, TK Resort manager who admires Alex) and Anna Escobia (Leslie, Gino’s girl bestfriend). With Pauline Almero (Kelly), Aaron Caringal (Nip), Daven Noveno (Cole), JC Legaspi (Drew), Micah Guevarra (Jesse) and   Mitch Dayupat as Ms. Maya – Creative Director of Advertising Agency, boss of Gino.
