After the successful pair up of Keijee Mesina and John Cortez in the boys’ love series ‘My Extraordinary,’ the two stars are reuniting in ‘Wheel of Love Presents: Weekend to Remember.’

It looks like the love team of Keijee and John will have more exposure in ‘Weekend to Remember,’ but what was their reaction when they learned that they will again, be together for a new project?

Keijee: “Sobrang overwhelmed ako. Hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala. Like itong mga artists na kasama ko po dito (Weekend to Remember), grabe sila mag-boost ng confidence. Kasi may mga times pa rin po talaga na kinu-question ko ‘yung sarili ko na ‘talaga ba? Nangyayari ‘to?’ And isa sila sa nagpa-feel sa’kin na ‘ayan oh, dahil sa pagmamahal ng mga tao sa inyo, nasundan kayo ng next project.’ We owe it to the people. Talagang maraming, maraming salamat po. Hindi po namin in-expect. After My Extraordinary, si sir Kristian kasi nagmo-monitor ng kung anong nangyayari, bigla na lang niya nilatag sa amin ni John itong Weekend to Remember and we’re very excited.”

John: “Actually, ‘nung nabalitaan namin ‘to, nasa kotse kami ni Keijee and sir Kristian. As in randomly, biglang nabanggit sa amin ni sir K, ‘meron kayong project ni Keijee ha, Wheel of Love, magka-partner kayo. Sobrang na-hype kami as in nagtatalon kami sa kotse, sabi namin ‘galingan natin, galingan natin!’ So ayun, we’re really thankful na binigyan kami ng opportunity na ganito especially going back My Extraordinary, sobrang thankful kasi mas nag-grow lalo ‘yung friendship namin not only with each other but also with other Asterisk artists and the whole Asterisk family.”

I’ve seen them in ‘My Extraordinary’ and I do confess that their tandem was one of the reasons I watch the series. They’re both natural and gives another layer in the story of Shake and Ken. And watching the advance screening of the pilot episode, I am so happy for Keijee and John.
