MANILA, PHILIPPINES (October 15, 2026) — Integrated communications consultancy PRecious Communications has released its flagship regional research study, the PRecious AI Authority Index: Southeast Asia Banking 2026. Powered by its proprietary measurement platform, PRecious Pulse, the report highlights why corporate communications leaders cannot depend on a single AI tool or generic search score to gauge digital reputation.

Focusing on the Philippine banking landscape, the research reveals a significant gap between total brand visibility and first-mention prominence across consumer, business, and trust queries:
- Business Banking: BPI achieved the broadest answer reach at 96%, but BDO dominated first-mention prominence, named first in 75% of AI responses.
- Consumer Banking: BPI led total reach at 73%, while BDO secured the highest first-mention share at 31%.
“Visibility and prominence are two distinct challenges,” explained Paolo Alba, Regional Vice President and Philippines Country Lead at PRecious Communications. “Communicators must evaluate not just if a bank appears, but what narrative AI presents and whether it aligns with real customer experiences.”
Lars Voedisch, Founder and Group CEO, noted that a top AI spot indicates narrative order rather than a direct endorsement or customer preference.
Covering Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, the diagnostic study demonstrates how AI amplifies regional diversity across Southeast Asia. The snapshot reflects data from August 2026. The full report is available at pulse.preciouscomms.com/ai-authority-index.
