White, clean, and undeniably elegant: Couture Studio celebrated its first year exactly how it treats its craft. A year of beauty is officially in the books, marking 365 days of transforming not just how people look, but how they feel. In the heart of BGC, this anniversary confirms that Couture Studio’s signature ‘glow-up’ is here to stay.
Celebrating one year of setting the bar in professional beauty, Couture Studio Hair and Nails recently opened its doors for The Art of Hair & Nails. This exclusive anniversary event welcomed BGC’s style community to experience the salon’s signature blend of modern luxury and elevated service. Located at the B2 Building, Bonifacio High Street, Couture Studio remains the premier destination for those who believe beauty is an experience, not just a result.

“I’m here in Couture, and we hope to build it up.”
Renowned French-Italian creative director and master hairstylist, Pascalain Gianello, the creative director of Couture Studio, Bonifacio Global City, talks about his experience as a Vidal Sassoon protege:

“I’m basically a normal hairdresser; I started like that. In Europe, there’s an apprenticeship and many different levels. So, you have different schools and you get a diploma, and I did these, everything in France. That was four years, and I’ve heard about somebody who revolutionized the business of hairdressing. This man was called Vidal Sassoon and he was based in London, so I started at the age of 17, and directly after my apprenticeship, I went to London and I worked for Vidal Sassoon from Junior Stylist to Top Stylist, Art Director, and so on. I remained with Sassoon and I traveled a lot. Sassoon is known for cutting hair and with a certain philosophy. He decided to transform hairstyling in the 60s, exactly the period when The Beatles and The Rolling Stones were popular. He decided to liberate the women from the usual helmet hairstyle. So, the hair had to fall down, but hair just like that, it needed a shape. The basis of this new philosophy is geometry – creating shapes of the hairs. All kinds of shapes came up. We started with the classic ‘Bob.’ We were looking after hair quality, respecting hair texture and creating shapes according to the face’s suitability. That was important for men and women. This is the philosophy I have today: beautiful hair, perfectly cut, well-balanced, suitability and all these things. It’s not just cutting by feelings, thinking something is good. It has to look very good and be perfect. And that the lady or man has peace for four to six weeks and can redo her or his hair without any problems until it must be cut again,” Pascalain shares.
With his experience and expertise, Pascalain can work anywhere in the world. Why did he choose to work at Couture Studio?
“I was working all over the world, but the answer is simple, it’s a little bit of destiny, my beautiful wife is Filipino. So, my wife want to be in her country, I’m giving her the chance to travel with me, but she likes to be here. And I’m doing well in this country, so I’m here. Pinoy din ako. A French Pinoy,” Pascalain explains.
What makes Couture Studio among other salons in the Philippines?
“First of all, I think it’s very beautiful, it’s clean all the time, and there’s a lot of light. I think people can come here and relax, and definitely feel in the hands of professional people. That’s definitely a big plus. It’s not like other salons that have a hectic schedule with their clients. I take time to do everything well. I want to make sure that everything that is done is really perfect,” Pascalain answers.
