From a nationwide search, down to the Top 20 for the final round, the Spiker Prince from the South, Mad Ramos from the University of Santo Tomas emerges as Sparkle’s first Ultimate Campus Cutie. The grand finale was held last June 21 at GMA Network Center Annex. Together with 19 other finalists, Mad took the stage to show off their talents, delivering song and dance performances that flaunted their diverse, camera-ready looks and charms. Once the group was narrowed down to the Top 10, each finalist faced a live Q&A round, sharing why they deserved to win.

The panel of judges were composed of Atty. Annette Gozon‑Valdes (GMA Senior Vice President), Joy Marcelo (First Vice President, Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Talent Development and Management Department), and Aloy Adlawan (Creative Director of GMA Entertainment Group). They were joined by Ryuji Shiomitsu (Bench’s Partner Fashion Stylist), Japs Jaring (Production Manager, MAKA), and Eason de Guzman (Digital Marketing Manager and Content Lead at Honor Philippines).

“I think nag-shine talaga siya lalo na sa question and answer portion. And I can see his confidence. Malakas ang personality niya, malakas ang drive niya for excellence. So, I think he’ll be a very good addition to Sparkle,” shares GMA Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

“Sa una, I got shy. Mahiyain ako and hindi ako nakakapag-step up sa mga workshops and challenges and sa dulo. So, hindi ko talaga ine-expect and I’m thankful for this opportunity,” Mads says on his interview with Nelson.
