Everyone’s a bit emotional at the contract renewal of Gabbi Garcia with GMA Network. The “Kapuso It Girl” is staying with her home network for eleven years.

Present at the contract signing were GMA Network’s top executives, including President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide and Support Group and President of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo.

Also present to show their support were Vice President and Head for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier-Cruz, Vice President for Musical Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for the Entertainment Group Gigi Santiago-Lara, Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development, Chief Risk Officer, and Head of Program Support Regie C. Bautista, as well as Gabbi’s parents Vince and Tes Lopez, and her boyfriend Khalil Ramos.

“We’re so proud of you, we love you so much. We’ve seen your growth not only as an artist but as a person for these ten years. And we’ve seen how good you are, how passionate you are with your craft. So, to everyone, whatever time of the day, magandang GABBI sa inyong lahat,” GMA SVP Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes’s message to Gabbi.

“I share the joy Gabbi is feeling today. You (Gabbi) are a success story, an example of living the dream. Knowing you as I have come to know you, I know there is more for you in the years to come,” GMA Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. continues.

“I always get emotional when it comes to Gabbi. Kulang na lang ipanganak kita, so to speak. We grew up together, I witness her. I’ve seen Gabbi through the ups, the tumbles. So Gabbi, we will be with you. Thank you for trusting us,” Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice Preisdent Joy Marcelo shares.

Finally, Gabbi shares expresses her emotions as she renews with GMA Network:

“Kidding aside, last night I was thinking if I’m gonna be writing a thank you message, but I agreed with myself that I’ll say whatever it is in my heart in this very moment. When I was younger, I often got rejected in auditions, in VTRs but GMA was one of the few ones who embraced me, who welcomed me, who accepted me and who saw something in me. Tumaya sila sa akin without even knowing what I have to offer. That was eleven years ago and cut to this day, GMA is my home. GMA is my second family. I thank you for giving me this opportunity to remain a loyal Kapuso. My Sparkle management, which is not just a management relationship, they’re family. I have had moms in Sparkle since day 1, you were there. Thank you and I’ll forever be a proud homegrown, loyal Kapuso,” an emotional Gabbi shares.
