“Itong Majeskin, isa lang siyang pangarap but it became real because of my husband, because of our friend Abby and of course, sa help ni Manang Rhea (Anicoche-Tan), kaya meron tayong Majeskin ngayon dahil sa mga taong nagtitiwala sa akin palagi at paulit-ulit,” Maja Salvador as she introduces Majeskin to the media and the audience.

Maja Salvador, an actress and entrepreneur, launched Majeskin, a body care brand, in collaboration with business magnate Rhea Tan, the founder of Beautéderm Corporation.

On May 23, Salvador and Tan held a joint press conference at Incanta Cave in Quezon City to announce their latest venture, with the tagline “Glow Beyond The Surface.”

The body care brand debuted its main products: Calming Body Wash (Chamomile Scent), Calming Body Scrub (Chamomile Scent), Calming Body Lotion (Chamomile Scent), Nourishing Body Wash (Milk Scent), Nourishing Body Scrub (Milk Scent), and Nourishing Body Lotion (Milk Scent).

Some of the products’ ingredients include hyaluronic acid, collagen, niacinamide, arbutin, botanical extracts, goat milk extract, and aloe vera.

Salvador emphasized her joy about her new venture, and Tan served as one of her business mentors. Salvador’s endorsement of Beautéderm has resulted in a genuine friendship between the two female entrepreneurs. Tan was one of the primary sponsors at the actress’s wedding, demonstrating their mutual affection and respect.

Majeskin offers minimal, majestic, and made-for-skin products, pioneering body care that genuinely cares for every skin. Salvador and Tan’s shared passion for skin wellbeing inspired their collaboration.

“Maja and I have always wanted to work together. When queens unite, they create something majestic. Maja embodies everything a queen should be: authentic, determined, passionate, and creative. And, as beauty entrepreneurs, we must not just serve “face cards” but also deliver a glow that extends beyond the surface,” the Beautéderm founder said.

What made Maja create her own bodycare line?

“Bilang isang babae, sobrang hilig ko talaga sa bodycare. Like, isa ‘yan sa feeling ko na investments ko, lalo na ang body scrub. So, bilang isang babae and now, mommy na, gusto ko mas maging confident pa ako lalo in my own skin. So, nag-create kami ng product na hindi lang about beauty but also about self-love and care kasi itong product namin is made to make you feel beautiful and to bring out your inner glow, and para i-embrace ninyo ang pagiging majestic ninyo,” Maja answers.

How instrumental was Beautederm CEO and President Rhea Anicoche-Tan in creating Majeskin?

“Nung kinuha ko si Maja in 2021, sinabi niya sa akin na gusto niya ng bodycare kaya pang-face siya (in Beautederm). So, ang tagal naming hinintay. It took us 4 to 5 years, bago pa siya ikasal. Pero sabi ko nga, para kay Maja talaga itong araw na ‘to. Kami ay hindi lang mag-ninang, siya ay aking ading (younger sibling in Ilocano), kaya ‘yung trust ko sa kanya hindi ako nag-dalawang isip. At ngayon, isa na rin siyang nanay, isa na siyang mompreneur,” Ms. Rhea Anicoche-Tan shares.

“Ibang level ng partnership talaga, maliban sa ninang namin siya. Kaya we are thankful and grateful for this relationship and partnership and itong bagong journey natin is mas meaningful and mas beautiful kasi we’re doing it with you, kaya thank you Manang,” Maja adds.

“Alam mo kung bakit kami nag-decide to have a partnership with Manang? Beautederm is what, 16 years na. So, alam na ng mga consumers na kapag sinabing Beautderm ay talagang legit, iba ang quality. So, itong partnership ko with Manang, alam niya kung ano ang kailangan ng consumers, alam niya kung ano ang kailangan nating lahat. Akala ko parang, with the other products na hawak ni Manang, same lang with Majeskin ang gagawin namin. So, ako I just told her na I love chamomile scent, I love milk scent. ‘Yung other ingredients, expertise na ‘yan ni Manang,” Maja continues later on.

What can consumers expect from the Majeskin bodycare line?

“Parang responsibility mo talaga to take care of yourself, to take care of your skin. So, by using our products, we have a body wash, a body lotion and a body scrub. The body wash and body lotion, you should use it daily. For the body scrub, it should be once a week. After using all these products, diyan mo makikita ‘yung results, diyan mo malalaman na, ‘ang galing ko, inaalagaan ko ang sarili ko.’ And mas magiging confident ka kasi alam mo sa sarili mo na you love yourself,’ shares Maja.
