A day at the lovely Casitas at Camille’s Farm in Tanay, Rizal

While writing this and looking at the photos I wanted to use for my article and postings, I noticed I didn’t take that many photos. But I realized that because I was having a much-needed rest and the view I was having around the Casitas at Camille’s Farm got my mind and body shift to a relaxed state.

I’m probably not alone in wanting a vacation, but responsibilities say no. But fates have their way in finally giving me a time off – and it’s a much deserve rest at Casitas at Camille Farm.

Before arriving at the venue, I was already thinking of the things I needed for my postings and article. That was a mistake. The moment we entered the venue, bags down, we roamed around, and let our guards down for a relaxing and fun weekend.

First stop, lunch served by Camille’s Farm staff. The private rest house has facilities for the guests to use, including the kitchen but of course, if it comes to food service, it can be arranged.

The staff were hospitable and kind, not just because we were there as media, but you can feel the genuine Filipino hospitality.

After lunch and some rest, we took a tour of their 5-hectare land. To make the farm feel really farm-like, Camille’s Farm has chickens, rabbits and an African Sulcata tortoise named Bondjing. There are also fresh produce like pineapples, calamansi and more.

For leisure and entertainment, Camille’s Farm also has a mini golf, karaoke, and of course, a swimming pool.

After the tour, we decided to go to Daranak Falls, which is only a 10-minute walk from Camille’s Farm.

But what I loved about our stay was the late-night bonding at their kubo, which is also a dedicated space to connect online via Starlink. The area has almost no mobile signal, so if you really need the internet connection, there’s still an option. We capped the night with conversations we probably don’t get to have during work.

The ambiance was nice. We met only during events, so we hardly had the opportunity to bond. Having that moment was priceless for me.

I guess, aside from having a family outing at Casitas at Camille’s Farm, their venue and facilities can more than accommodate team building and barkada bondings. A perfect place to disconnect without the stress of being too disconnected.

Casitas at Camille’s Farm is 90 minutes from Pasig City. It’s a private family resort nestled in the picturesque landscape of Tanay, Rizal.

Built in the 1990s as a vacation home, the five-hectare property (named after the owners’ granddaughter) became the family’s haven during the pandemic. The owners eventually decided to welcome others into their blissful sanctuary. They had two structures built. The first one, called the Casitas Room, has accommodations for one to eight persons. The second one, dubbed the Tee House, has enough comfortable (bunk) beds for as many as 20 individuals. All in all, the farm can host a total of 28 guests at a time.
