Jeepney TV to Stream FPJ-Juday Starrer ‘Isusumbong Kita sa Tatay Ko’ on Facebook

Fans of the King of Philippine cinema, the late Fernando Poe Jr., are invited to join the watch party of the “Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko” movie on Jeepney TV’s Facebook page this Thursday (August 20) in honor of FPJ’s 81st birthday.

“Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko’s” remastered version, first time to be streamed on digital, will relive the unforgettable big screen tandem of Da King and Judy Ann Santos.

The action-comedy flick is about an auto repair shop owner named Badong (FPJ) and his tomboyish daughter Joey (Judy Ann) whom he single-handedly raised after his wife died at an early age. The loving father-daughter relationship faces a test when Badong reconnects with a childhood friend Beth (Aileen Damiles) and Joey becomes threatened to lose her father’s attention.

Produced by Star Cinema, “Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko” was first shown in 1999 and became a blockbuster hit, which led to FPJ and Judy Ann earning the titles of “Box Office King and Queen” by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation in 2000. ABS-CBN Film Restoration restored and remastered the film in 2017.

The movie streaming is presented by CinePoe Babad TV on Jeepney TV’s Facebook page, which currently has 2 million likes and 3.1 million followers.

Don’t miss the “Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko” watch party in honor of FPJ’s birthday, happening this Thursday (August 20), 7pm on Jeepney TV’s Facebook page. For updates, follow @abscbnpr on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visit www.abs-cbn.com/newsroom
