Work. That is the main reason why most artists enter showbizness. That is why three of Philippines’ leading men are happy to GMA Network and its talent arm GMA Artist Center for the trust they’ve been given.
I’m talking about Jason Abalos, Edgar Allan Guzman and Paul Salas.
Now, the three might have been visible on the Kapamilya Network before but are now happy that they’ve signed with GMA Network and GMA Artist Center.
It may sound “showbiz” but they’re in this industry for work. And because they’re good at it.
Jason Abalos had a special role in the top afternoon drama ‘Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko’ where he played a gay man. He’ll soon be seen in another afternoon drama series ‘Stolen’ with Max Collins and Mark Herras.
Edgar Allan Guzman on the other hand, was part of the first Filipino – Korean series ‘My Korean Jagiya’ with Heart Evangelista and Alexander Lee. He also was part of the the top rating afternoon series ‘The Stepdaughters’ (which I loved) with Megan Young and Katrina Halili. On March 4, we’ll see him in the newest afternoon series ‘Dragon Lady’ with Janine Gutierez and Tom Rodriguez.
And lastly, Paul Salas. He has been visible on GMA shows like Maynila, Dear Uge and other weekly programs of the Kapuso Network but his biggest break since his comeback is the GMA Telebabad show Kara Mia. He plays Chino in the primetime series starring Barbie Forteza and Mika dela Cruz.
