Roblox Corporation (NYSE: RBLX) recently held its 12th annual Roblox Developers Conference (RDC), an invite-only event for its creator community of developers, artists, designers, brands, and influencers, held in San Mateo, Calif. The event marked 20 years of platform innovation and brought a wave of updates spanning three areas: Play, Build, and Grow.
Roblox has teamed up with game developer MindTrust to launch Family Zone, an interactive experience designed to bridge the digital divide between parents and their children. Built specifically to encourage co-play, Family Zone offers caregivers a fun, hands-on way to explore the platform alongside their kids while sparking meaningful conversations about online safety.
Roblox Corporation (NYSE: RBLX) today announced two new age-based accounts for younger users on Roblox: Roblox Kids for users ages 5 to 8 and Roblox Select for users ages 9 to 15*. When they roll out in early June, these accounts will more closely align content access, communication settings, and parental controls with a user’s age. They’re also establishing an ongoing selection process for games available to users under 16.
