The Runway Atelier holds successful fantasy-themed fashion show

Aspiring models of all ages turn Brittany Palazzo into a fantasy-themed venue with their fairy costumes walking down the runway.

We talked with the representative of The Runway Atelier, Mr. Jolly Jules, during their Magical Adventure 2 fashion show and asked about TRA and more.

What is The Runway Atilier?

“TRA (The Runway Atilier) started as an agency for kids who would like to do modelling. And since we’re catering for kids, ginawa namin siyang play and modelling para ma-enjoy naman nila ang ginagawa nila. Last year ‘yun tapos dito year, nakikita kasi namin na grabe ang energy ng kids, so nagkaroon ng variations – nagkaroon kami ng theater workshops, meron ding dancing and acting, but still more on modelling. Runway Atilier is not just about honing their talents in the activities that they attend to, it’s also about building confidence. And ang maganda din na nangyayari is they’re like a family na. Minsan naga-outing sila kasama ang kids and families nila.”

How did you get involved with TRA?

“For Runway Atilier, when they started in 2020, it was just pure concept and meetings. And then later on nung nagkaroon na ng batches like last year, dun na talaga ‘yung full involvement to represent and do hosting the events of TRA.”

How are the kids who joined TRA?

“For this year, tuwang tuwa ako kasi from two batches na meron kami last year, ngayon seven batches ang meron. So, lumaki talaga. Pero kasama pa din ‘yung batch one and two, parang sila ang naging core, naging ate at kuya sila ng mga bagong batches.”

How was it mounting TRA Magical Adventure 2?

“Medyo nakakapagod itong event na ito (TRA Magical Adventure 2), pero maganda kasi before ‘yung big event na gagawin every December, merong mga smaller events or other events outside para i-expose ang mga workshoppers. Hindi lang dito ginagawa ang actual recital ng mga bata.”

Why was the theme fantasy?

“It started out with the magical dresses. ‘Yun ang naging concept tapos later on, the kids wanted parang mga fairy, kasi ‘yung una, maraming mga babae talaga. We wanted gowns tapos dun na-conceptualize ‘yung magical adventure. Gusto kasi nila ‘yung may mga ilaw, may pakpak, so pinagbigyan din sila ng TRA.”

What can we expect for TRA in 2026?

“I heard na meron silang partnership ulit na training for theater. And ‘yung dance workshops, I think every month naman siya in partnership with G-Force. Siguro bagong batches pa ng mga models.”
