Makati City, Philippines – The World Travel Expo (WTE) is back and bigger than ever, officially announcing not just one but two major events for its 9th year:
On October 17–19, 2025, at SPACE, One Ayala, Makati City, and
On November 14–16, 2025, at Manila Bay.

At the media launch held on September 24, 2025, at SPACE, One Ayala, event organizer Miles Caballero warmly thanked partners, exhibitors, and media representatives.

“Looking around this room, I feel nothing but gratitude,” she said. “You are not just here to witness a launch. You are here because you believe in the spirit of travel and in what the World Travel Expo stands for. And for that, I sincerely thank you.”
Her words set the tone for what promises to be a milestone celebration for this double showcase.
Is the Travel Expo focusing only on local travels and not on international travels?
“We’re not only targeting the local market, but we’re also targeting the international market. In fact, last summer, we went to Taiwan. Since Taiwan is an emerging market versus China, we went to Taiwan, we partnered with travel agencies based in Taiwan and we also connected with the travel agency of Taiwan here in Manila. From then on, we’re having groups spend overnight in our resort,” answers Ms. Jane Andres from La Jolla Luxury Beach Resort.
So, this is like a travelling expo?
“We did it by ourselves, parang DIY lang. So, we went to Taiwan, since, based on the data, it’s an emerging market. So, we went there instead of China. Next year, since Korea is the number one foreign traveller in the Philippines, we want to go to Korea next year,” Ms. Jane continues.
What has been the impact or the contribution of the World Travel Expo for the past nine years to local tourism?
“We’re helping the start-up companies, the newly opened travel agencies, the hotels and resorts. We’re promoting our local destinations and continue in helping them, especially the ones in Palawan, Boracay, Bohol and some parts of Siargao,” Ms. Miles Caballero of AD Asia Events Group answers.
What’s the status of our tourism industry today?
“We’re very supportive of the activities of the Department of Tourism and tourism promotions port. We actually have a team right now, I think in Nagoya, Japan, for the Tourism Expo Japan. Speaking for The Manila Hotel and the Manila Prince Hotel, we have captured the international market. So, I think we’re doing fine with regards to accommodations,” Ms. Abigael Legaspi-Maguigad of The Manila Hotel answers.
“For GDS Travel Agency, yes it’s doing great. We have a branch in China, so we’re bringing Chinese clients here in the Philippines to travel for business with our fellow countrymen. We’re thankful because this Travel Expo is a big impact in our business as well as to the market in different parts of China,” Mr. Rico Duque adds.
What can the travel expo offer to potential travellers?
“At Travel M8, we offer, especially in the expo, discount pero dun lang during the expo ang discount. And other information, ‘yung mga nakakausap namin online and mga walk-in clients namin sa mga offices, nao-offeran din sila ng mga discounts but mas malaki ang discounts when it comes to expo,” Ms. Irish Lyn Duque answers.
The team’s excitement is on with the return to Makati, complemented by a bold expansion to Manila Bay, opening WTE to new audiences and wider participation.
